Brynley's arrival

Brynley Grace Lasiter arrived on Thursday, May 28 at 2:00 pm. She weighed 9 lbs 6 oz and was 21.5 in long. The c section went well and was definitely a different experience for us all. We went home on Sat. and have been recovering well at home. The boys have done great so far. They have been getting lots of attention from the grandparents that have been here. Thanks Nana and Pops, and Nana. Here are a few pics from the hospital.

Done

Well we are wrapping things up around our house. Getting ready for summer and Brynley's arrival. One thing now done is Jace's year of preschool. He had his graduation on Wednesday and was so excited about it (if you can't tell by the look on his face!)
I am done with my pregnancy, well almost. We will go in on Wed. night to begin the induction. This picture was taken about 3 weeks ago. Just imagine it a little bigger now and you will get the picture of how monstrous I look and feel!
Brynley's nursery is ready for her. I just have one wall above the crib to find something to put on it. I made the new bedding and Clint painted the changing table black to match. I love it.

Just thought I would finish up the blog with a cute picture of Hayden and Jace in the shirts Nana gave them. Do we have a future doctor and baseball player on our hands? Not according to Jace. As of now he wants to work at the airport gate. (directing planes, loading luggage, anything out by the plane.)

St. Louis

A couple weeks ago Clint had the week off from work. We used the week to get things done around the house mostly. We had to make some time for fun though and decided to head to St. Louis for a night. Our first stop was the afternoon at the zoo. It was perfect. The weather was great and not many people where there. After that we ate dinner and checked into our hotel. The next morning we went to tour Busch Stadium where the Cardinals play. They took us into some great VIP places and out on the field and into the dugout. It was great. I have to admit that Clint and I enjoyed it more than the boys. Following that we headed to St. Louis Mills mall for lunch and a little shopping. The boys got to play on their indoor playground. We finished up the trip with dinner and play time at Incredible Pizza. It is a great place to take kids and I would highly recommend trying one out if you can. It is like a chuck e cheese on steroids. Here are a few pics from our adventure.

Bee Farm

This past week Jace's class got to enjoy a trip to a local Bee Farm. While it was interesting to learn about the bees and honey, they had so much more for the kids. As you can see from the pictures below, it was cold and wet. The kids had a blast anyway. Jace loves any excuse to wear his rain boots!
Waiting to pet a rabbit

Planted a flower
A peacock trying impress the female!
Learning a little about the goats

Not to sure about the emu, kinda ugly and scary.
Making their own beeswax candle
No better way to end a trip, ICE CREAM! (even if it is cold out) It was made with honey.

Easter 09

We celebrated a wonderful Easter yesterday. I am so thankful that our Savior died for us and we can rejoice that he rose from the grave and joined his father in heaven. I hope we can continue to teach our children the real reason we celebrate Easter. Here are a few pictures from the days activities.

Updates

While there hasn't been tons to blog about, I thought I might as well update with the latest happenings around the Lasiter Household. First thing we have been dealing with is Hayden's desire to be in charge. One of the main places he likes to do this is with food. He doesn't want to eat (unless it is chips or dry cereal). I started not letting him down from the table until he has eaten X amount of bites. Well one day Jace and I had finished lunch and Hayden refused to eat. We left the room and Hayden sat in the kitchen and talked to himself for awhile. Then he got quiet and I went to check on him. This is what I found. Poor kid. Did he win this battle or did I? He never did eat anymore lunch.

The boys have been into playing pirates. What is it about pirates with little boys?

Jace's class at MMO did a couple plays on different fairytales. Jace was in the one called Cinderlily (a take on Cinderella). He got to be a butterfly and was so excited because, and I quote, "I don't even have to say anything!" Well he did a great job not saying anything and pulling Cinderlilly in the pumpkin wagon.
We also have started preparing for Brynley's arrival. First on the list was to put up bunkbeds so the boys can share a room. Jace was so excited. We haven't moved Hayden yet, we will do that in a couple weeks. Not 24 hours after having completed the bunkbed building, we had our first accident. Jace was trying to hang from the top bunk and flip his legs through his arms. He let go in mid flip and his front two teeth hit the side rail of the bottom bunk. They both bent inward. Blood gushing everywhere. It was a sight. Clint pushed them back straight and we went to see the dentist the following day. We are still watching for infections but they look pretty good. One of the teeth is still loose and may fall out. We will see.One of the best parts of the last couple weeks is Spring creeping in. We have taken advantage of some warm days with playing outside and walking to the park. On this day Jace found a ladybug and it crawled all over him for around 5 minutes. He loved it. Haydens favorite thing at the park is the slides. He will go up the steps and down the slide over and over again. (excuse Jace's funny looking smile. He was still very swollen from the bunkbed incident)
