Soccer Camp

This week Jace has been attending soccer camp at a local college. He has absolutely loved it. This is first taste of organized sports, and I wasn't sure how he would like it. Jace concentrates so hard and tries to do exactly what the coaches ask him to do. I think that for his first experience he is doing awesome. I think we might have a pretty good soccer player on our hands! Jace will be playing on a soccer team this fall too and as he puts it he will be playing "real soccer". On his first day Jace wanted to wear the soccer uniform that was his cousin Riley's. It is still way to big for him. The jersey hangs to his knees so I wouldn't let him wear that, but I can tie the shorts tight enough they at least stay on.

Is it different?

I have had many people ask me if it is different having a girl now. So far the only difference is how fun it is to dress her. I have never considered myself a very girly girl. I also never thought I would be one to put bows on their little girls head, but I do. I love all the cute little girls clothing and I do believe we have a bow to match just about every outfit. On my defense I will say Brynley only dresses up and has a bow when we are going out to a function or to church. On a normal daily basis she is just in normal clothing sans a bow. I am enjoying having a girl so far and I hope that continues into the emotional "I hate you mother" teen years!

I finally finished her nursery. Here is the art work for over her crib.

I thought I would also include a copy of Brynley's birth announcement.

They call me Peter

Clint has been calling Hayden "Peter" for awhile now. Hayden has loved it from the beginning and joined right in by calling Clint "Peter" too. While it is a cute little thing between the two of them, I am wondering about the long term affects it may have. Hayden now will tell you his name is Peter. When you ask him what his whole name is he will tell you Peter Hayden Davis Lasiter. He says it all cute like with a huge stress on the word Lasiter. I tried to get him to do it on video to show you, but of course he wouldn't cooperate. When you ask him what Daddies name is he will either tell you Clint or Peter Daddy. Just hope I don't have to explain this to his Kindergarten teacher in a few years when she calls out for a Hayden and he tells her his name is Peter! Couldn't post without a few pics of my Peter Hayden.

Already?

I just can't believe it. Jace is 5. 5 years old. I just can't believe it. We had his birthday party at Chuck E Cheese this year. They had a blast. They played games, ate pizza, played games, ate cake, and played games. They were in heaven. Here are a few pics from the party!

The toys of choice these days are Legos and Transformers. I believe we own 20 Transformers now. The picture below is all the Lego sets he got for his birthday. Jace and Pops have spent much of the last 36 hours putting them together.
I will leave you with some recent pictures of my big 5 year old!
