Christmas Time

Well I thought I should include some photos of what we have been up to so far this holiday season. We went to a Christmas party where Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance. They boys had a blast. I might add that no one was scared of Santa this year!

Today the boys had their program at school. Hayden's class sang Jingle Bells and If Your Happy and You Know It. Hayden decided not to sing, but I did get a picture of the one motion he participated in. (even if it wasn't at the right time). At least he didn't cry through the whole thing! Jace's class sang Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Oh Come All Ye Faithful, and Joy to the World. The also did a play of the nativity scene. Jace was a shepherd. He had one line to memorize and did it perfectly! I apologize for the bad pictures. We were far back and the lighting was not great. But I had to include them for the grandparents anyway!

Lastly we want to wish everyone a happy holiday season. May you all be safe in your travels. Enjoy your time off and have fun with your families.

Life Lessons Learned

1. If you forget to put sugar in while making a cake, it will not turn out correctly.

2. If you put a Pyrex pan on a hot burner, it will explode. If this pan has a freshly baked sopapilla cheesecake in it, it will make a huge gooey, glass filled mess.

(Unfortunately these lessons were learned in a span of two days. I do not recommend trying them out for yourself. Just take my word on it.)

halloween 08

Just in case you haven't gotten enough of pictures of peoples kids at pumpkin patches and in their Halloween costumes, here are a few more. Although these may be the cutest kids out of all the pictures you've seen. We spent the morning at the pumpkin patch on Thursday. It was an absolutely beautiful day with incredible weather. We got to pet all kinds of animals, go on a hayride and run around the farm. The boys had a wonderful time.

For Halloween we had some friends over and grilled out for dinner. We then took our first trip trick or treating. Jace really got into. I have never seen that boy walk so fast for so long. It was cute. Hayden even walked up to a couple houses too. He got over that pretty quick though. Jace was Optimus Prime and Hayden was a golfer this year.

Budding Artist

My little Jace has just amazed me with the things he can do since he started pre-school this year. He has learned the months of the year, days of the week, writing a lot more letters, and counting higher. Most of all his artistic skills are starting to show (see example below). This past week they created a family crest in class. I had never seen him draw people so that was exciting for me. He also wrote his last name. That was definitely a first. I was just so proud of Jace's work that I had to share it with you all.
A brief description of what the pictures are of: Top Left: Clint and I getting married Top Right: Our family skateboarding (which we have never done) Me on the left with Hayden on my shoulders, Clint in the middle on a skateboard with Jace on the right, and the sun of course. Bottom: Last name on the bottom.

Knights in Shining Armor

Not sure if that is what it really looks like to you, but that is what Clint and Jace were playing. They were knights sword fighting. Gotta love a 4 year old imagination.

Photo shoot

Here are the pictures from Jace's 4 yr and Hayden's 18 month shoot. It was an adventure. It is the first time we have taken pictures since Hayden has become very mobile. He didn't want to sit down or stay still at all. The lady taking the pictures did a great job getting shots whenever she could. We also had pictures done of my niece and nephew and some of my sisters and me. It was fun. I would highly recommend The Picture People if you guys are looking for somewhere new to get pictures done.

Texas Trip

Sorry it has been so long since I updated. I was busy with VBS for awhile and then we went to visit grandparents in Texas. Here are some pictures from our trip. We started off in Odessa. The boys had a great time playing with their Nana and Pops and there cousins.

After Odessa, we headed to San Antonio to visit my side of the family. We had fun going to see the glider plane Pops is learning to fly and we also visited Sea World. I don't have any pictures though because the battery decided to die on my camera. We also got new pictures of the boys taken why we were there. I will post those soon.

If you haven't noticed the boys call both grandpa's the same thing, Pops. Both grandma's are spelled Nana but they are pronounced different. It can get quite confusing.

Finally

Well Hayden has decided it might be okay to walk. Here is a short clip of it. I can't get much because everytime I break out the camera he crawls on over to try and get it. He started taking steps about 2 weeks ago and now he can make it across the living room. Go Hayden Go!

Happy Birth4thversary Day!

That's Right. Happy Birthday Jace! Happy 4th of July! Happy Anniversary Clint! All of these happened with in 4 days of each other. So here it goes posting about all of them.
We celebrated Jace's Birthday a couple weeks early, so on his actually birthday we went to Chuck E Cheese with just family. Jace had a blast. Clint's parents came in to join in on the celebration. Jace got a lot of great things for his birthday this year, a bike, games, a leapster, a dump truck, fire truck, digger, tractor, and much much more. Jace was so funny. We kept telling him he was 4 now all day, but he said he was 3-4. He said he wasn't 4 until we sang happy Birthday to him and he blew out his candles. Here a few pictures of his birthday.

A Family Picture, no wait that's not Clint

On the fourth we had some friends come over and grilled out. After a great meal and a few great desserts we headed outside for the boys to try out some snaps and sparklers. They had a great time. After about 2 sparklers Jace was done with those, he much rather would throw snaps at peoples feet! We also had to keep up with the baseball score the whole time. If you can't tell by the picture, the Hajicek family are huge Cardinals fans. They came over decked out in Cardinals gear, ready to sling some insults toward Clint's favorite team, the Cubs. Clint of course was in his Cub's gear, ready to return the taunts. We ended the evening with Jace running inside screaming because our neighbors decided to let of some real fireworks. Jace was not real fond of them.

Our last celebration was our Anniversary. 7 years. My what changes in 7 years. Add 2 kids, a new house, a few new cars. Speaking of new cars, I thought I would show you a picture of what we got each other for our anniversary.

Okay so not really. We did get to drive this around to dinner and a drive in movie though! I do have to say it made me want one, some time down the road post driving kids around in car seats that is! One thing that has changed the most over these 7 years is my love for Clint. I never new how much it could grow and deepen. I love you honey!
