Christmas Time

Well I thought I should include some photos of what we have been up to so far this holiday season. We went to a Christmas party where Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance. They boys had a blast. I might add that no one was scared of Santa this year!

Today the boys had their program at school. Hayden's class sang Jingle Bells and If Your Happy and You Know It. Hayden decided not to sing, but I did get a picture of the one motion he participated in. (even if it wasn't at the right time). At least he didn't cry through the whole thing! Jace's class sang Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Oh Come All Ye Faithful, and Joy to the World. The also did a play of the nativity scene. Jace was a shepherd. He had one line to memorize and did it perfectly! I apologize for the bad pictures. We were far back and the lighting was not great. But I had to include them for the grandparents anyway!

Lastly we want to wish everyone a happy holiday season. May you all be safe in your travels. Enjoy your time off and have fun with your families.

Life Lessons Learned

1. If you forget to put sugar in while making a cake, it will not turn out correctly.

2. If you put a Pyrex pan on a hot burner, it will explode. If this pan has a freshly baked sopapilla cheesecake in it, it will make a huge gooey, glass filled mess.

(Unfortunately these lessons were learned in a span of two days. I do not recommend trying them out for yourself. Just take my word on it.)

halloween 08

Just in case you haven't gotten enough of pictures of peoples kids at pumpkin patches and in their Halloween costumes, here are a few more. Although these may be the cutest kids out of all the pictures you've seen. We spent the morning at the pumpkin patch on Thursday. It was an absolutely beautiful day with incredible weather. We got to pet all kinds of animals, go on a hayride and run around the farm. The boys had a wonderful time.

For Halloween we had some friends over and grilled out for dinner. We then took our first trip trick or treating. Jace really got into. I have never seen that boy walk so fast for so long. It was cute. Hayden even walked up to a couple houses too. He got over that pretty quick though. Jace was Optimus Prime and Hayden was a golfer this year.

Budding Artist

My little Jace has just amazed me with the things he can do since he started pre-school this year. He has learned the months of the year, days of the week, writing a lot more letters, and counting higher. Most of all his artistic skills are starting to show (see example below). This past week they created a family crest in class. I had never seen him draw people so that was exciting for me. He also wrote his last name. That was definitely a first. I was just so proud of Jace's work that I had to share it with you all.
A brief description of what the pictures are of: Top Left: Clint and I getting married Top Right: Our family skateboarding (which we have never done) Me on the left with Hayden on my shoulders, Clint in the middle on a skateboard with Jace on the right, and the sun of course. Bottom: Last name on the bottom.
