Videos

This is just a little clip of our little singer. He was singing "Go tell it on the mountain" This is one of the songs they are singing at his Mother's Morning Out Christmas program. I should add he is singing in his "funny voice". I couldn't get him to do it normal. In case you don't notice, he never stops moving. This is how he is if he is awake, constantly moving...and talking or singing.

This second video is of Hayden crawling. He has finally mastered crawling on all fours. Jace couldn't stand that I was trying to get Hayden on video and had to keep getting in the way. You may also notice the billions of toys everywhere. Hayden has figured out how to dump his toy bucket and this is usually one of the first things he does every morning.

Adventures with Santa

This past weekend we had a Christmas party with a group from church. The family that hosts every year does a bang up job. The food was wonderful as was the time to visit. The highlight for the kids is that Santa and Mrs. Claus make a guest appearance. When the door bell rang, the kids all ran up stairs screaming "Santa's here, Santa's here!" All but Jace off course. He slowly came up the stairs and then as soon as he saw Santa he ran and climbed into Clint's arms. We went downstairs for the kids to receive their gifts. Jace stayed about as far away as he could be, but still be able to see what was given out. Hayden received a cute teddy bear and Jace got a car from the movie Cars. Here are some pictures.

A Daily Conversation with Jace

and I mean daily. At least once in a 24 hour period I have this conversation with him, and many more like this but with a different topic. He has turned in to the gotta know everything kid.

Jace: "Where is my daddy?"

Me: "At work."

Jace: "Why is he at work?"

Me: "To make money."

Jace: "What does he make money for?"

Me: "To pay for our house, and clothes, and car, and food, and stuff."

Jace: "Why does he pay for our house?"

Me: "So we can live in it."

Jace: "What we want to live in it for?"

Me: "So we can be warm and safe."

Jace: "Why we want to be safe?"

Me: "We just do Jace."

Jace: "Oh!"

Gotta love him!

Texas Trip

A few weeks ago we made our trip across Texas. It started out with me and the boys flying to San Antonio to visit my family. Then my mom, the boys, and myself drove to Dallas to see my sister and her family. This is when we had our trade show. Clint flew in that weekend to join us. From there Clint, Jace, Hayden, and I headed to College Station. We got to visit with some friends there. Then we headed to Odessa to see Clint's family. We made a pit stop along the way in Abilene. We ate some great food at Sharon's restaurant and toured campus a little. They have made some great changes since I was there last. While in Odessa we took some family pictures. Here are a few snapshots I took while we were there. They are not the best, but this was pretty much the only time I took pictures.

After my two week trip went to head home and a warning light came on our vehicle. It was Saturday and no one was open to look at it, so we had to switch and take Clint's parents vehicle home with us. It all worked out and we made it back safe and sound to the dirty house and mountain of laundry to awaited me!

9 months

A few weeks ago Hayden turned 9 months old. I can't believe how fast it has gone. He now has 4 teeth. He is not crawling yet, but he gets around with an army crawl/scoot. He has gotten much better with the eating and will eat just about anything now. I have started giving him real food some and he loves it. Here are a few of his pictures. They were so hard to narrow down, but these area some of my favorites. The last one is him sucking his thumb. He always holds his other hand!

The show

For those of you who don't know, my sister and I have an embroidery business. We started it about 5 years ago. Unfortunately my sister is left with the work while am not living in Texas. However, I do get the opportunity to come to Dallas for a weekend to do a trade show. It is called Market in the Meadow. This year was our third, and best year. While it is not near enough to make up for all the work she does the rest of the year, it does give us a chance to work together. I enjoy that most. We get the chance to design and create products, but spending time chatting with Tonya is the best part of it.
The week/weekend was crazy. I got there a few days before the show and it was non-stop work from there. Luckily we enjoy doing it. We are also lucky that our mom comes and watches the kids for us. We couldn't do it with out her.
A little about our business... We mainly have a baby line and a home line. The baby line includes things such as bibs, burp cloths, pantie covers, hooded towels, blankets, and personal blankies. Our home line includes things such as kitchen towels, aprons, guest towels, napkins, place mats, and pillow cases. And like I said before, we started about 5 years ago. It was slow going at first and a lot of learning on our part. But now Tonya stays busy all the time with orders. We have not created a website yet, but have plans to do so after the first of the year. I can't wait to see where it leads us.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween came upon us fast this year. I let Jace choose what he wanted to be and he wanted to be Superman. I had great plans to make a costume but ran out of time, so he got a store bought one. Hayden also got to be superman. Here are some pictures of Halloween day. Our church had a trunk or treat so we got to spend the evening with all of our friends.

Long time

Sorry it has been awhile guys. We just spent two weeks in Texas visiting all the family. I will write about that and show some pics soon. I am currently trying to get my house back in order and the erupting volcano of laundry done. Here is a picture to tide you over.

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we attempted and outing to the pumpkin patch with some friends. We had a great time for about an hour. The kids saw some animals, took some great pictures, looked at the straw maze (they were all to chicken to go in), and ran around and had a great time. It started to sprinkle just as we got on the hay ride. By the end of our hayride the rain was coming down pretty good. They dropped us off at a patch of small pumpkins so each kid could pick one. The problem with this was that it was as far away from our cars as possible. By the time we got our pumpkins and got to the car we were all soaked. We had planned a picnic to eat there, but had to move it to one of our houses. The kids had a great time anyway!

KC

I just wanted to post a few pictures from our trip last weekend. We went to KC to see my sister and her family. They were in town for a conference and I went to entertain my sweet niece and nephew. We also got to visit with some of my friends from high school. Unfortunately I don't have any pics of that.

You just never know...

what you will see or hear with Jace around. Just a couple quick stories for you. The other day I was driving to Taco Bueno with the kids to get some dinner (Clint was on call and still at the hospital). We see a fire truck and Jace says to me "I like red, but a pink fire truck would be my favorite!" Pink is his favorite color right now. I hate to admit it has lasted longer than all his other favorite colors. Second story. This morning we were heading to our weekly walmart trip. I walked into the garage and pushed the button to open the garage door. I turn to close the door to the house and I hear Jace screaming. I turn around and see Jace hanging on to the garage door as it is lifting him of the ground. By the time I get across the garage, Jace is 3 feet in the air. I couldn't stop laughing, but felt bad about it because Jace was crying because he was so scared. Last Story. This morning the Orkin man came to spray our house (no we don't have bugs it was a preventative thing). Jace is normally very shy. For some reason though Jace followed him around the house talking his ear off the whole time. I was amazed. You just never know what you will get with Jace around.

Labor Day

I know this is a little dated, but I had nothing else new to blog and have been meaning to get pictures of Labor day posted earlier. Clint's parents flew in for an extended weekend. The boys and I went to pick them up from the airport in St. Louis and went to the zoo for the afternoon. Here are a couple pics from the train. This was probably Jace's favorite part, except maybe the camels. After the zoo we headed back to Columbia for the night. On Friday we went to Kansas City to the Great Wolf Lodge. It was a blast. It was basically a large hotel with an indoor water park. They had an outdoor pool area too. The room was great. It was decorated like a lodge would be and had a little log cabin with bunk beds in it. Jace loved his new room as he called it. The following pictures are of Hayden swimming with his pops (Jace swimming on his own, with floaties, behind them) and Jace counting to 3 before he jumps in to his daddy.
On Monday Clint and his dad played golf why the boys and Sandra and I hung out. We had a great time and would recommend anyone going there. They have one opening up in Grapevine too sometime soon I believe.

Miscellaneous Adventures...from Clint

Hello all. Clint here. I got the directive from Kristin that I needed to learn how to do this blog thing, especially since I always tell her it needs to be updated. So...without further ado, here is my first shot at this thing.

The last week or so has been very adventuresome for Lasiter gang. We had the good fortune of having my best friend, Chris Kneip, come up to visit us from Jackson, Mississippi. He is an orthopedic surgery resident in Jackson. We hadn't seen each other in over two years since we graduated from medical school. The last time Jace saw him he was only 11 months old, now he is 3. That didn't matter though because Jace took to him like he had known him the whole time. Of course he did call him "Curse" or "Cursey" the whole time, but they had fun together nonetheless. Kristin and I also enjoyed getting to spend some time with him again catching up on old times and playing some golf. Thanks for coming Chris!!

Here is Chris with the boys.

This weekend was also very fun for us. On Friday night the Tidmores kept Jace and Hayden for us so that Kristin and I could go to dinner and a movie. We had a great time and really enjoyed seeing "The Bourne Ultimatum." I highly recommend this movie to anyone who has not seen it, especially if you liked the first two "Bourne" movies. On Saturday we reciprocated the favor by keeping the Tidmore kids, Anna and Mason, so that they could have a nice dinner and a movie. Kristin and I decided to be brave and get out of the house even though we had four kids. The first annual Columbia Balloon Festival was taking place Saturday night and we knew the kids would enjoy it, so we went. You should have seen the looks on people's faces when they saw Kristin and I with two double strollers and four kids all 3 and under! Luckily the kids were great and the balloons were awesome. Jace and Anna really liked seeing all of the balloons right there in front of them as they filled up and took off. Unfortunately the wind started blowing toward the end of the night and they had to cut the "illumination" portion short, but it was still tons of fun. Here are some pics.

Jace, Anna, Mason, and Hayden

Balloons, balloons everywhere!

Aren't we just a good looking family!!

Lastly, but not leastly (does that really make sense?), the gang had one last adventure before the weekend was over. To the batting cages and driving range. Kristin and I got some cuts in so that we can rule our co-ed church softball league and then we hit some golf balls. As you can see below, we have the next great golfer in our midst. Jace had a blast swinging at the golf balls, and he even hit a few too!

Look at the setup. This one went at least 5 yards!

Like father, like son!

Well, I hope you have enjoyed my first post. Hopefully there will be more in the future, but I will have to see what kind of reaction I get from this one and also see if Kristin lets me do it again! Thanks for reading.
