Where did it go?
Time has flown by and I am not sure where it went. Brynley is 6 months old already. I can't believe it. I am amazed at how quickly it happened. She continues to be such a joy and blessing in our lives. My heart grows bigger everyday as my love for her grows. Brynley is such a laid back baby. She can roll over but chooses not to most of the time. She sits a little on her own but still falls over a lot if not supported. We have begun baby food and she seems to enjoy it all so far. Brynley's stats are Height: 26 1/2 in and Weight: 16lb 7oz. I sure love this baby girl!

Letting Go
I am having a hard time of letting go... of control that is. I like to decorate my christmas tree a certain way. I think it looks nicer. Last year it was just Jace helping to do the tree so I could control it pretty well. This year with Hayden and Jace doing it, I had to let go. It is much more rewarding to do it as a family and watch my kids really enjoy themselves than to have what I would consider a greatly decorated tree. I have to admit that they did a great job (and I moved a few around when everyone was done :) All in all I was pleased with the final outcome. I love Christmas time!

compare and contrast
I like to look at my kids pics and see how they compare to each other at the same ages. Here is all three of them at roughly 5 months. Brynley definately has more hair than the boys did! Let me know what you think about how she compares in other ways to the boys. Jace is on top, Brynley in the middle, and Hayden on the bottom. (Jace's pic was scanned in so the coloring is off, sorry.)

apple picking
Today our church went apple picking. An orchard nearby donates apples to the food bank. Local churches and organizations go and pick the apples to be donated. Today was our day. Jace has been asking about picking apples again since he did it last year. He was pumped to go today. While it was the end of the picking season and not many apples remained but a few on the top of the trees, we still managed to fill up a massive crate with apples. And the boys had a blast. I say the mission was accomplished!

KC visit
Over Labor Day weekend we got to go to Kansas City. We began our weekend by hanging out with some of my high school friends. Here is a shot of all our kiddos. We enjoyed catching up on our lives and the kids had a blast playing with each other.
The following day we went to Great Wolf Lodge. Jace and Hayden were so excited to go. That didn't last long for Hayden. He got squirted in the face with water after about 1 minute of entering the water park and that ended his fun for the day. On the second day however, he warmed up and was going down the little slides by himself. Jace had a blast the whole time. It wasn't very crowded so Jace and I or Jace and Clint spent much of the time going down the big slides. Brynley didn't get in the water much since it wasn't all that warm.

Messy Night
Monday night our Parents as Teachers organization held a Messy Night. Here are a few pics highlighting the kids evening.
Blowing bubbles is always a favorite for Hayden
They had squirt bottles with colored water and a white sheet to squirt
Glue with odds and ends to put on paper. The boys could have spent hours just at this station
This was Jace pouting at first because he wasn't getting to choose what we did. He got over it though and joined in.

3 months
Well time is just flying by. It seems like I just had Brynley last week, but here she is turning 3 months. My little girl. I can't believe it. Here are a couple pics of her favorite things. Actually her most favorite thing is to be in someones arms, but second to that she loves her playmat and the bumbo. Brynley is already a busybody. She likes to be sitting up and looking at what all is going on. She likes to be in the know. Brynley also loves to talk. She will lay there and blow spit bubbles and coo at you all day long if you will let her. Love my sweet girl.

What's your preference
Everyone has a different preference on what to sleep in. Some like pjs, some like boxers, some might prefer nothing. Here at our house we definitely have our preferences. Jace likes to go with the new. I had taken out all the clothes I had for the up coming fall/winter to take stock, see what I still needed to buy for them. Jace found some new pjs and that is what he has been wearing. Now Hayden prefers the silly, well because Hayden is just silly. I loved his choice of sock last night! Slept all night with that thing on. Gotta love the individuality of the boys.

Soccer Camp
This week Jace has been attending soccer camp at a local college. He has absolutely loved it. This is first taste of organized sports, and I wasn't sure how he would like it. Jace concentrates so hard and tries to do exactly what the coaches ask him to do. I think that for his first experience he is doing awesome. I think we might have a pretty good soccer player on our hands! Jace will be playing on a soccer team this fall too and as he puts it he will be playing "real soccer". On his first day Jace wanted to wear the soccer uniform that was his cousin Riley's. It is still way to big for him. The jersey hangs to his knees so I wouldn't let him wear that, but I can tie the shorts tight enough they at least stay on.

Is it different?
I have had many people ask me if it is different having a girl now. So far the only difference is how fun it is to dress her. I have never considered myself a very girly girl. I also never thought I would be one to put bows on their little girls head, but I do. I love all the cute little girls clothing and I do believe we have a bow to match just about every outfit. On my defense I will say Brynley only dresses up and has a bow when we are going out to a function or to church. On a normal daily basis she is just in normal clothing sans a bow. I am enjoying having a girl so far and I hope that continues into the emotional "I hate you mother" teen years!
I finally finished her nursery. Here is the art work for over her crib.

They call me Peter
Clint has been calling Hayden "Peter" for awhile now. Hayden has loved it from the beginning and joined right in by calling Clint "Peter" too. While it is a cute little thing between the two of them, I am wondering about the long term affects it may have. Hayden now will tell you his name is Peter. When you ask him what his whole name is he will tell you Peter Hayden Davis Lasiter. He says it all cute like with a huge stress on the word Lasiter. I tried to get him to do it on video to show you, but of course he wouldn't cooperate. When you ask him what Daddies name is he will either tell you Clint or Peter Daddy. Just hope I don't have to explain this to his Kindergarten teacher in a few years when she calls out for a Hayden and he tells her his name is Peter! Couldn't post without a few pics of my Peter Hayden.
